Welcome to the Fachschaft Philosophie!

DE We are the student council of the philosophy department at the LMU Munich and as such we are committed to all student concerns at our faculty.

We are the contact for any problem or concern of all philosophy students (including international students and visiting students) and work towards improving the studies and study conditions at our faculty.
We want to bring students together and offer an interesting program of events in addition to the study contents, like introductory events for first-year students, an annual philosophical master class, a summer academy, student-lead reading groups, and regular parties, etc. Some of these are also held (partly) in English.

Our further tasks and responsibilities include sending student representatives to the faculty council and other committees to advocate student interests.

We are looking forward to meeting you and seeing you at our events!

We provide current information and the latest news on our events as well as important information on developments at the faculty in our newsletter which most of the time includes information in English.

Further, we have an extensive student guide for first-year and incoming students in German.
