Auch im Sommersemester 2026 gibt es für interessierte Studierende wieder die Möglichkeit, einen studentischen Lektürekurs zu beantragen.

Die studentischen Lektürekurse sollen engagierten Studierenden die Möglichkeit bieten, gemeinsam mit Kommiliton*innen selbstständig Themen zu erarbeiten, die so nicht oder nur selten an der Fakultät angeboten werden. Die genauen Inhalte können von den Studierenden selbst festgelegt werden, sie müssen sich jedoch an einem der folgenden übergreifenden Teilbereiche der Philosophie orientieren: praktische Philosophie, theoretische Philosophie und Geschichte der Philosophie. Darüber hinaus steht mit der Kategorie „Interdisziplinär” eine vierte Möglichkeit für Themenfelder zur Verfügung, die sich zwischen oder jenseits der klassischen Teilbereiche befinden. Außerdem wird der Kurs eigenverantwortlich organisiert. Ein*e Student*in, die*der den Kursantrag stellt und ihn anmeldet und also hauptverantwortlich dafür ist, erhält für die Durchführung/Leitung des Kurses einen Hilfskraftvertrag im Rahmen von 5 Wochenstunden für 3 Monate.

Antragsberechtigt sind alle Studierenden der Philosophie (außer Doktorand*innen).

Wer sich bewerben möchte, sollte sich mit folgenden Angaben an die*den jeweilige*n hauptamtliche*n Professor*in wenden, zu deren*dessen Lehrstuhl der studentische Lektürekurs thematisch am ehesten zugehörig ist:

• einem ausgearbeiteten Konzept über das zu behandelnde Thema
• sowie dem ausgefüllten Formular zur Beantragung eines studentischen Lektürekurses

Das ausgefüllte und seitens der*des Professor*in unterschriebene Formular ist im Anschluss, zusammen mit dem inhaltlichen Konzept, der Fachschaft Philosophie per Mail (philo@fs.lmu.de) zu übermitteln. Abgabefrist ist der 18.01.2026. Den Teilbereich, zu dem der angestrebte Lektürekurs gehört, ist im Feld „Thema“ des Antragsformulars anzugeben.

Die endgültige Auswahl der Lektürekurse erfolgt dann zeitnah nach dem Bewerbungsende durch ein Gremium aus Studierendenvertreter*innen, der Geschäftsstelle und dem Dekan. Pro Teilbereich wird nur ein Kurs vergeben. Die Auswahlkriterien befinden sinch im Dokument unter auf der Seite. Die Information über das Ergebnis der Auswahl erfolgt dann durch die Geschäftsstelle. Abgelehnte Lektürekurse erhalten eine Erklärung dazu, weshalb ihr Kurs nicht bewilligt wurde.

Call for Applications for Student Tutorial Courses

All interested students of Philosophy are invited to hand in an application for a proposed tutorial course in the summer term of 2026.
The deadline is January 18^th, 2026.

Student tutorial courses aim at enabling active students to work independently on philosophical topics which are underrepresented at our Faculty. The exact content can be determined by the applicants themselves, but it must be based on one of the following overarching subtopics of philosophy: practical philosophy, theoretical philosophy and history of philosophy. In addition, the category ‘Interdisciplinary’ offers a fourth option for topics that lie somewhere between or beyond the classic subtopics. The course contents may be freely selected by the respective applicant, who will coordinate the course independently. The applicants whose course proposals are chosen as tutorial courses will receive a contract as a student assistant (Hilfskraft) at the Faculty, which will run for three months at 5 hours a week during the semester.

All students of philosophy (except PhD students) are eligible to apply.

If you are interested in applying, please contact the principal professor at the respective Chair which fits your course subject thematically with the following:

• a concept for your course, concerning the subject, and possibly readings and a schedule, which (as the deadline allows) should be as detailed as possible.
• the fully-filled-in application form which you may find below (in German).

The form, which should be signed by the Professor who supports your course, as well as the course concept, should be submitted to the Students' Council (Fachschaft) via e-mail (philo@fs.lmu.de). The deadline is Januar 18^th, 2026. The subtopic to which the desired reading course belongs must be specified in the ‘Thema’ field of the application form.

Slots for student tutorial courses are limited. The final selection regarding will be made by a comittee of student representatives, the administrative office of the Faculty and the dean of the Faculty. Only one course will be assigned per subtopic. The catalogue of selection criteria can be found in the document below. Information regarding acceptance will be communicated shortly through the administrative office (Geschäftsstelle). Applicants who are not selected will receive an explanation.
